swirl flaps

Hi all had my car mapped, performance all good my issue is I had the egr and swirl flaps deleted,I have blanked egr and swirl flaps removed/welded. I am getting car with spanner light on dash when they are both unplugged and peddle test shows 0400 egr fault and 1109 and 1110 both swirl flap...

I just got an astra 1.9cdti sri 150 and when I looked there is no swirl bar and a tube near it has been plugged, does this mean someone has already locked the flaps in open position and what is that tube which has been plugged? http://imgur.com/a/cK5Ym u should be able to see the pics in that...

Basically my 1.9 was shooting white smoke out of exhaust when I start car noticed my mpg wasn't the best so thought best check the swirl flap to find out it had come of and was laying on top of the inlet... After more looking a noticed that I could move them starting from left to right number...

Hi guys, looking for abit of advice, got my astra 1.9 cdti 06 plate with 50k only 2 weeks ago and today i was going to clean the EGR and noticed that the swirl rod looked abit squiffed so i literally touched it and it fell out of its pivot holes. I tried starting the car and it would judder...
