Whilst at 888 yesterday, I got talking with the Tony and Neil about lowering options for my car.
Unfortunatley, both types of Eibach kit would lower my car more than I want to be practical for my work etc. So we started looking at OE VXR springs.
It turns out after a bit of investigation, that the 1.9 CDTi engine is only about 3-4kg's heavier than the VXR Z20 LEH. So axle weight difference between the springs should be fine.
So we measured the ride height of mine, and also the ride height of a 888 CDTi and a standard VXR on 18's.
The VXR sits in the middle and is about 8-10mm lower than the SRi CDTi. So I now have from 888 a set of VXR OE springs which will be fitted within the next week or so.
So all being well, these should just take the edge off the height of mine but still leave it looking pretty much standard. I also have a set of VXR dampers on the way.
Whats your thoughts?
