engine lihgt on after bulb change

as above changed my side lights.removed the airbox and plug changed lights put airbox back job done? forgot to plug the block back in and started the car.engine man light on? can i turn it off or is it a job for vauxhall,car is 1.7cdti sxi 100 05 reg,any help would be great

are you sure its the right type of bulb. my dad put the wrong type of bulb into our old car and it threw up all kinds of lights and warnings on the dash, aswell as engine management lights

yes its because i unpluged the airbox wire,then forgot to plug it back in before i started it,thanks for the reply

Do you mean the airflow meter? It will have fired a code in (which is why the light is on) but with it plugged in and working again the code will go "not present" which means that after a certain number of ignitions the car will forget about it and the light will go off. Thinks its 20.
