when its says this does it mean i need to get another connector for my astra h as i just purchase a new alpine hu and there is a cable in there will that just plug straight into the wiring on my car when we take out the old cd30 hu many thanks for your help in advance.

a iso conector is a plug that will plug straight into ur wiring and save you loads of hassel tryin to wire up the stereo.you can buy them at halfords and any other car shop.very useful bits of kit.

so the plug that came with the alpine stereo one end plugs in the the headunit and the other end plugs straight into the car wiring or do i need another plug in between the headunit cable and the car wiring many thanks

Its called a wireing loom I believe they are not universal you will need to goto halfords with your stereo model and get one to fit your model of car, then it should go straight in.

you actually need 2 if you want your steering wheel controls to work with your new head unit, i was quoted £40 for the main one and its another £5 for the one that actually makes your controls work but they had to order it for me. watch out they insisted they gave me the right one and after a 30 mile round trip back to halfords they said oh hold on thats the wrong one for the H!!!!:@:@:@

halfords r idiots they rekon to change the bulbs on a H u need to take the bumper off. i jst cnt beleive the nonsense they mkae up sometimes
