Not sure about the cdti, but my 1.7 dti is due every 40,000 miles or 4 years. I'll check my manual for you later mate to see if the cdti is in there, but it'll be either 40,000 or 60,000

I checked the service manual, couldn't see a 1.7 cdti... whats your model code? is it a g or a h? if its the y17dt then its the same as mine cam/timing belt wise

Thanks mate.
I dont know model code mate. The only thing i know its old shape i belive mk4. I got little bit confused now.
I was serching online, and found that timing belt on 1.7 cdti is due every 10 years or 100000 miles.
Petrol engines are 4years or 40000 miles.
I am going to dealer to find out on Monday. Will let you know

So, guys i got my service book out, and got confused again.
It says
Ribbed belt and tensioner check- Z13DT, Y17DT, Y17DTL, Z17DTH, Z17DTL engine - change ribbed V-belt every 10 years or 100000 miles

Replace toothhed belt and tensioning roller:
Z20LET and Z22XE engine every 4 years or 40000 miles
Z14XE, Z16 DE, Z16YNG, Z18XE 6 years or 60000 miles
Z16 XEP
Z17DTH
Y17DT
Y17DTL and Z17DTL every 10 years or 100000 miles

I got confused now? Which engine is in 1.7 cdti?

When i say i checked the service book, I asked my gf too while I was driving. not sure exactly what she looked at lol but it wasn't the right thing :( sorry

Just checked again, Y17DT is as you say, 100,000 or 10 years.

The check part is just to say that its checked on every service to make sure it doesn't look like its about to go.

Do you still have the leather holder for the manual, service book, audio guide etc? Inside the cover of the leather thing theres a card in mine back of it says "vauxhall car pass". On there it states the model number under "engine type"?

I'd say it was either a z17dtl or a z17dth, as cdti engines are fairly different from dti ones? I'm just guessing though really, google didn't help much. A dealer should be able to help you out if you don't have the card!
