As above, when pulling on the bonnet release catch it won't pop the bonnet!

Any got any ideas how to get the bonnet open?

Get someone to put pressure on the bonnet while you pull, other wise its long nose pliers on the cable in front of the lever.:)

Otherwise the hammer will have to come out on the grille :(

pull the lever, push the bonnet DOWN, then pull the lever agin, and try to lift the bonnet UP and it should work

this is what i do......

Once you have it open you should find the bolt/screw that holds the outer sleeve dowm. Just a case of undoing that & pull the outer cable till you just feel a tiny amount of tension & screw it back down again, firmly.;)

Afraid i don't but it is obvious when you open the bonnet. near to where the bonnet latches you will see the cable on the top of the slam panel. Either an 8mm(iirc) or cross head driver to slacken/tighten.(Y)

No worries dude, seems these all tend to slip a little, so maybe everyone should check theirs out, save hammering a grille off Possibly alos lube the cable up while the bonnet is open.:D

I had the exact same problem a few months ago :( Messed the lever catch cable whilst I was fitting the VXR pipe..

Vauxhall fixed it for me under warranty but thankfully :D

Got this sorted in the end, I pushed down on the bonnet as the misses pulled on the release catch and Bob's your uncle!

Adjusted the cable while I had it up but still struggles to pop?

My brother's pricing up a new cable as we speak.

Thanks again Mitch.

It should just need a wee bit more adjustment buddy.

I've adjusted the cable quite a bit so it's nice and tight, but still doesn't pop fully. Think something is catching, going to investigate at the weekend along with checking over a number of other issues.

Is the catch itself nice and tight to the bonnet, or has it loosened off?

Yeah think so, no movement that I noticed.

Could be since I fitted the larger intake scoop for the induction kit, it's knocked the slam panel slightly off it's usual angle and causing it to bind? Going to look at this weekend along with a number of other issues.
